New Swing for Jaxson

Jessica has been telling me that the swings at the day care put Jaxson to sleep. Well, we finally bought one for ourselves...as you can see, he didn't last long!

Hurricane Ike - Houston, TX

We dodged a bullet with Hurricane Ike! Jessica and I didn't have any major damage from the storm! There was a mess to clean up, but none of the pine trees fell on our house. We also didn't have any flooding.

As a matter of fact, our street had power shortly after the storm came through...we were literally part of the 1% of Houston that had electricity! Amazing...

Jaxson's New Bouncer

We had to evacuate for Hurricane Ike this past week. While the event was rather stressful, Jaxson did get to see our East Texas families! As a matter of fact, he was able to meet Taylor and Zack for the first time. They came to Cushing before the Hurricane rolled through!

My Mom and Dad came to Houston this weekend. No doubt about it, Jaxson had plenty of attention!

First Corley Crew Family Vacation!

We ventured away from Houston for our first-ever family weekend vacation! We drove south down to Rockport, Texas and stayed at the Lighthouse Inn. We had a great time! We didn't do anything very exciting, but we did take full advantage of playing with Jaxson!

Rockport is very soothing and has lots of local eateries and restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. So, we would just load Jaxson into the stroller and take off! Pictures of our weekend are below.

All the walls and ceilings were covered with customer artwork. So, Jessica created a tribute to Jaxson to tell the world (or at least Rockport) that he had been to the Boiling Pot!

He was asked "why do chicks dig you?" In response, he stated, "because of these guns!" and began flexing his biceps!

Sand Plant Pictures

This past weekend we rode with Lewie and Elaine up to the Lewie's sand plant. He and his business partners are putting the finishing touches on the machinery and equipment before the plant "goes live." It was a very impressive facility and looks like it will give Jaxson the biggest "sand box" in the world!
