Well, we will be heading up to East Texas soon...so, we gave Jaxson one of his gifts from us tonight! It is a new bouncer, walker, play table.....A WHOLE ACTIVITY CENTER! Plus, it is a red sports car...look out ladies!
Also, Jessica and I bought each other our Christmas present today. A new Samsung LCD HDTV! YEAH for us!
Jessica and Jaxson took me out for a great birthday dinner last Friday night. We were celebrating the big 2-9 for me....yikes...one step closer to thirty. (hmm...I thought I was always suppose to stay young? this sucks!).
Anyway, we went to BJ's Restaurant and Brewery here in Clear Lake. I had some good food, a couple good beers, and, as you can see below, some OUTSTANDING company!
Happy B-day to....ME!
My main man and me
We discovered that Jaxson loves vanilla bean ice cream and warm chocolate chip cookies!
Sorry folks! I'm a bit behind on my blogging due to law school finals.
It doesn't happen very often, but YES we did get snow in Houston on December 10! It started in the early evening and continued until well past midnight. The next morning, however, it had started to melt away...bummer.
As you can probably guess, Jaxson was indifferent to the snow...maybe next year he will appreciate it a little bit more (that is....if we even get any snow!). HAHA!
Jaxson and Jessica - the morning after the snow (already melting)
Jaxson woke up in fine form this morning. He has got to be the happiest baby in the world.
After he ate and took a bath, his mama dressed him in his brand newSFA outfit (compliments of PawPaw Byers). So, since it is 36 degrees here this morning, I thought it would be a perfect occasion to show my SFA Lumberjack spirit as well!
Today was Jessica's birthday! As always, Jaxson woke up this morning in just a great mood! We dressed him in one of his brand new Halloween outfits. As you can see it said, "Mummy Loves Me".....well, isn't that the truth?!! HAHA!
We went out to eat dinner tonight and came back home before Jaxson got sleepy. Jessica got a new 32" HD LCD TV for our bedroom....so, she should be able to watch TV now without straining her eyes to focus in on the 19" one that we have used for years!
Jaxson also personalized a birthday card for her today with a crayon! This may have been the best gift of all!
While we were home this weekend, we attended the yearly McKnight Cemetery Dinner. The dinner serves a dual purpose: (1) it is a fund-raising event for the upkeep of the cemetery grounds and (2) it is a great opportunity for the local community to have a "reunion" and catch-up with those who now live some distance away.
My family has been long involved in the McKnight Dinner long before my days on this Earth. So, it was only fitting that Jaxson attend his very first "Big Dinner" event. Below are a few pictures.

(What a classic picture...I'm sure Kaden will thank me when he grows up! HAHA!)
Jaxson and Cody ringing the Church bell (this told the crowd that it was time to eat)
Jessica slowly eased Jaxson into the swimming pool this afternoon! As you can see, HE LOVED IT! They both had such a good time splashing around together. Jaxson's little legs were continuously kicking!
