OK....15 days and counting...tick, tock, tick, tock! We are frantically trying to get everything done prior to Jaxson getting here! (or should I say Jessica is frantically GETTING everything done!).
Jess has been in High Gear this week wrapping up loose ends and getting things put together. I try and provide some support, but most of her questions are answered with a resounding "Hmm....I don't know."
I am as close to worthless as you can get with this baby stuff...however, I am working to get better...HANG ON FOR THE RIDE! Cody is about to get a lesson in BABY 101!

NASA Baby Shower
Our friends and co-workers at NASA had a baby shower for us this past week. There was a big turnout and everyone gave us SO much great stuff. They are really working to spoil our little guy rotten! HAHA!
Below are some pictures of the shower...by the way, he should be here in about 2 weeks!

Baby Showers
The past couple weeks have been full of baby showers. The pictures below are some from 3 different events that have taken place in Rusk, Cushing, and Houston.
Jessica and I have received lots of neat things from friends and families. We are definitely blessed to have such great people to share the excitement of Jaxson's birth! Thanks Everyone! You guys are great!

STATE CHAMPS: Laneville Yellowjackets!
#15 Laneville defeated #1 ranked Goodrich Saturday night 56-50 to capture the Class 1A-Division II State Championship!
The score was tied 10 different times throughout the contest. At one point, Laneville stretched their lead to 10, but #1 ranked Goodrich quickly cut the lead to 4 points in the 4th quarter.
This is Laneville's 3rd State Championship. The Yellowjackets won back-to-back titles in '92-'93.
Congratulations to Coach Brian Nichols and the Laneville Yellowjackets on a Great Season....they accomplished their team goal/motto for the year....WTLO (Win The Last One).
Laneville Defeats Rule, 61-39
Laneville won their first game on Friday night with an impressive win over #4 ranked Rule.
Laneville did not have their best game of the season on Friday, but their complete dominance over Rule in the paint (12 blocked shots) helped Laneville cruise to a much-needed victory.
Coach Brian Nichols, who brought Laneville to Austin last season only to lose to Nazareth in the championship game, continually reiterates to his players this year's motto....WTLO (Win the Last One)....
#15 Laneville plays #1 Goodrich for the State Title on Saturday @ 7 PM.

Laneville Yellowjackets to State...again!
As most of you probably well know, one of my very best friends, Brian Nichols, is the head basketball coach / elementary principal at Laneville ISD in East Texas.
The basketball tradition in the small town is strong. Brian has been coaching at Laneville for several years now. He took his team to the State Tournament in Austin last year, but lost to Nazareth in the championship game.
Well, as you can see below, Brian and his boys have done it again! They won the regional tournament this past weekend and are making another trip to the Big Show in Austin. They play their first game in the State Tournament tonight versus Rule ISD. If they win, they will play again on Saturday for the State Title. (Jessica and I are driving to Austin today to watch!)
Below are pics from their victory at the regional tournament.

Family Pics from December 2007
We went to Nacogdoches after Christmas to have some professional family photos made. In all honesty, I don't think we have every had any "family" pictures taken before. So, we dressed in our white shirts and ventured to town not knowing what to expect....surprisingly, we ended up having a lot of fun (with lots of laughs!)!
As you can see, the below photos are of my side of the family...maybe we can get Jessica's family together soon to do the same.
Enjoy...
